The Marketing/Communications Manager is the operational leader of the Southwest Key Programs Communications department and works under the supervision of the Director of Communications while supervising two graphic designers to provide marketing and communications support for the many programs, departments and initiatives of the organization. The chief responsibility of the Marketing/Communications Manager is to coordinate and ensure the on-time and orderly flow of all communications projects. This entails performing job intake from coworkers in other departments who have limited marketing or communications experience and guiding them to an understanding of the workflow of communications projects while helping the communications team to manage capacity and logistics based on company needs. The Marketing/Communications Manager will set expectations in writing regarding scope, timeline and quality of deliverables and ensure the end-result delivers on-brief. The Marketing/Communications Manager oversees multiple, concurrent jobs across the marketing & communications spectrum, for both print and digital communications, to both internal and external audiences. This includes the creation of brochures, flyers, posters, emails, videos, direct mail pieces, online collaterals, advertising campaigns, public relations campaigns, and internal communications pieces. Broad knowledge of the print and digital landscape, the ability to advise on and help drive strategies in close collaboration with the Director of Communications and project teams, and comfort with vendor, contractor and budgetary management a must. The ideal candidate has the ability to manage numerous small to medium creative projects simultaneously as opposed to working on a single, long-term, large-scale project, and has the skills necessary to communicate effectively and efficiently with stakeholders in order to expedite jobs and solve problems across the team. She/he is the operational leader identifying potential delivery obstacles before they arise, and applying creative problem solving in partnership with subject-matter experts to avoid roadblocks. He/she should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of commonly used project management concepts, practices, and procedures and a history of successful work with communications professionals and their clients.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. Must be able to type. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
