  • Job Summary:

    The Junior Developer will support efforts to develop SharePoint, EDI interfaces and business middleware applications for Southwest Key Programs. The position may require more work hours than the normal eight-hour workday, including some weekends, and also may require 20-25% travel.

    Essential Functions:

    • Analyze and create solutions for system and application needs
    • Review existing applications and recommend improvements
    • Build new web interfaces and manage/maintain existing interfaces
    • Support new product roadmap in collaboration with IT leadership, business stakeholders and project teams
    • Provide regular status updates on project deliverables
    • Technical design and development of web technologies
    • Develop standards for design, coding and testing
    • Consult with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications;
    • Design, document, analyze, create, test and modify computer systems/programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications
    • As a member of the IT Department, actively contribute to and support Southwest Key’s mission
    • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
    • 1-2 years of experience
    • EDI
    • Microsoft SQL experience required
    • Scripting languages required - HTML5, ASP.NET, C#, PHP and Perl
    • SSRS reporting
    • SharePoint Online maintenance with templates and packages, web parts, workflows
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Ability to problem-solve and utilize critical thinking skills to address challenges
    • Attention to detail, strong organizational and writing skills.
    • Manage time and projects effectively.
    • Must have ability to manage work on multiple projects while maintaining sensitivity to deadlines
    • Able to work independently


    • Knowledge of Kronos Interface Manager
    • Knowledge of Great Plains
    • Knowledge of Laserfische
    • Knowledge of Server 2012 R2

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Work Environment:

    General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
